Huckleberry Ridge Hunting Preserve Hosts the 4th Annual DaHunt for the Cure

(Tarboro, N.C) – Jan. 12, 2011- Huckleberry Ridge Hunting Preserve, North Carolina Outfitters is again hosting the 4th Annual DaHunt for the Cure.

Charles Medici of New York started this traditional upland bird-hunting event in 2008 in response to his nephew’s leukemia diagnosis, and attributes much of the event’s success to the full support of the facility and the Huckleberry Ridge staff. Medici hopes other chapters will hear of the event’s success and join Da Hunt for the Cure with their own hunts as fundraisers.

This year DaHunt for the Cure will be held Jan. 23-30, and entry starts at $1500 per person that includes a two-day guided quail hunt, field transportation, all home-cooked meals, lodging in the beautifully renovated historic Batts House and dog handlers. For additional information and opportunities as well as to register, visit dahuntforthecure.com.

George Johnson, owner of Huckleberry Ridge Hunting Preserve is proud to help sponsor DaHunt for the Cure each year, “We are very supportive of Charlie’s mission to raise awareness of blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and Hodgkin’s disease. DaHunt for the Cure is just a good time – with a little friendly competition, great food and the chance to give back.”

Huckleberry Ridge Hunting Preserve, North Carolina Outfitters, is one of North Carolina’s Premier Outfitters. They manage over 5,000 woodland acres along the Roanoke and Tar Rivers and in Halifax, Bertie, Edgecombe, Martin and Hyde counties in North Carolina.
