Hello Fellow Sportsmen! The 2008 DaHunt for the Cure upland bird hunt was a complete success - the event exceeded all of what we had hoped for! DaHunt for the Cure is a unique, upland bird hunting event to help raise awareness, funds and hope for people and families affected by blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. You are personally invited to this fun-filled weekend of hunting, shooting and camaraderie in honor of my 14 year old nephew, Peter’s ongoing recovery of leukemia (ALL). Thankfully, Peter is doing well and has just celebrated his 3rd year of remission. Our family continues to count the days until Peter can truly be considered cured. Thanks to all of our attendees who sponsored a team and all of our corporate and individual sponsors who contributed to our event, we were able to reach our goal. We believe based on this years' success, next years' event will be just as exciting. We are now planning our 2009 DaHunt for the Cure 2nd annual upland bird hunting event and currently accepting sponsors for our Web site and banner. 2009 DaHunt for the Cure will be held at the Huckleberry Ridge Hunting Preserve located in Tarboro, North Carolina. Huckleberry Ridge Hunting Preserve has generously agreed to be a sponsor for this event. For more information, you can go to www.hrhunting.com. or call their toll-free number (866) 614-7281. 2009 DaHunt for the Cure will take place on January 16 – 18, 2009. There will be a total of ten (10), 2-person teams at a cost of $2,500 per team. Transportation, meals, lodging and a 2-day guided quail hunt with dog handlers are included with the cost.
